Uplyft is a field sales force management platform that helps organisations track attendance, manage field visits, monitor expenses, and coordinate teams efficiently.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Uplyft mobile application, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

🏢Uplyft is deployed by your employer (the "Company"). Your Company administrators have access to the data you generate within the app in the course of your employment.

Account & Profile

  • Name, email, phone number
  • Employee code and role
  • Profile photo
  • Reporting manager & team

Location

  • GPS coordinates & accuracy
  • Background updates while on duty
  • ~every 10 min or 200m of travel

Attendance

  • Day start & end timestamps
  • Selfie & vehicle photos
  • Odometer readings
  • GPS at check-in / check-out

Visits & Routes

  • Customer visit times & photos
  • Order details & durations
  • Assigned routes

Expenses

  • Amount, merchant, date
  • Expense category
  • Receipt photos

Device & Technical

  • Push notification token
  • Device platform (iOS/Android)
  • App usage logs

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and provide the core features of the Uplyft platform
  • To allow Company administrators to monitor field activity, attendance, and performance
  • To calculate travel reimbursements based on distance covered
  • To process and approve expense and leave claims
  • To send push notifications about approvals and job-related events
  • To provide technical support and resolve issues
  • To improve the reliability and performance of the app

Location Data — Important Notice

Uplyft collects your location in the background while your working day is active. This means location updates are sent even when the app is not open on your screen.

Location data is shared with your Company administrators and your reporting manager so they can view your last known or live location during duty hours.

Location tracking is never active outside a duty session. Once you end your day in the app, all background location updates stop immediately.

⚠️You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings. Doing so will prevent background tracking but may limit some functionality within the app.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

Your Company

Administrators and authorised managers within your organisation have access to your attendance, visit, location, and expense data as part of normal business operations.

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party services including cloud hosting, push notification delivery (Expo), and authentication (Google Sign-In). These providers process data only to perform services on our behalf.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Attendance, location, visit, and expense records are retained for a period determined by your Company.

When your account is deactivated, personal identifiers may be anonymised or removed, while aggregated business records may be retained for reporting and audit purposes.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure cloud infrastructure, and access controls that limit who can view sensitive data.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information using reasonable technical and organisational measures.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to your employer's retention requirements)
  • Object to certain types of data processing

Children's Privacy

Uplyft is a professional workplace application intended for use by adults in an employment context. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

For significant changes, we will notify you through a push notification or in-app message.
